We have now received details of two further quizes being held this autumn. 1. Saturday 29th September 7.30pm, Clopton Village Hall, proceeds in aid of the Village Hall. Teams of 6, £6 per person which includes light supper, bring your own drinks. If you are interested in taking part please let me know by Saturday 15th September. 2. This is more for your diary but 24th Ipswich are holding a quiz at their HQ on Bramford Road (by the Railway Bridge) on Saturday 24th November at 7.30pm. Again teams of 6 at £6 per person which includes baked potato supper and bring your own drinks. I will circulate details again towards end of October. PS Don't forget to let me know if you wish to attend the 5th Ipswich's quiz on 22nd September at 7.30pm.

Meet at entrance of Museum at 10.45 for 11.00am. The visit will be followed by a pub meal at the “Wilford Bridge” Melton. Meal is booked for 1.30pm. A 2 course Meal is Twelve Pounds per head. The menu is printed out below. Please let me have your choices of food by return if you are joining us for the meal. Please read full article for all details.

Further to my last message, I have found that the Willford Bridge, Deben Inns, at Melton offer a two course meal for Twelve Pounds. I cannot let you know what the menu is until Monday 16th as they are having a change of menu planned, as they would like to know how many would be interested I am asking you if you are likely to come for a meal as well as the visit to the Museum. If no interest in the meal they do offer sandwiches etc - Mike

We have been asked by Sam Rowland (ADC Scouts) to help with her district camp in September. (7th-9th September). She would like our members to prepare a lunch and provide tea's and coffee's for invited guests and the activity base staff on Saturday and for us to test the Scouts on their First Aid badge using a questionnaire that she would like us to prepare. Times to be confirmed nearer the time. If anyone is interested in helping with either the Saturdays lunch or with preparing the First Aid questionnaire please let me know as soon as possible.

It is now not possible to visit the BAWDSEY RADAR MUSEUM on FRIDAY 20th July as on the programme. DATE CHANGED TO THURSDAY 26th JULY 11.00am. Further details regarding a pub meal to follow. Sunday 1st July. Walk and Picnic @ Newbourne Village Hall & play area (Family Day) DIY picnic and walk, bring your own food, drinks and chairs We have booked the village hall so that toilets are available, Graham Parker will organise a walk for those who would be interested, we will have the green and play area available for mums/dads who are looking after children too young for a long walk. We will try and organise some games for them but we will need to know how many children there will be and the ages of them. At present I have a few walkers and some of my grand children likely to come but no other replies yet, please let Mike know asap

Friday 20th July visit to Bawdsey Radar (New Museum) (Organiser David Gibson) Meeting at 7.30pm, David is about to book this visit and would like to have a rough idea as to how many of us will be going so that the museum have enough staff on site to help us. Please let Mike know asap please

Emailing on behalf of Jonathan from the 36th Ipswich, he after helpers for their summer fete on Saturday 30th June. If you are able to help, please let Jonathan know via email (chair@36thipswichscouts.co.uk). They have quite a few volunteers from the group this year but could really do with some help on the gates if anyone is available. Also don't forget its our BBQ on Friday at Hallowtree.

Sunday 1st July Walk and Picnic @ Newbourne Village Hall & play area (Family Day) Bring your children/grandchildren etc. We have booked the village hall so we have toilets available. ARRIVE FROM 1.30PM Walk is led by Graham Parker, 1.5 hrs, about 2-3 miles walk, starts at 2.00pm. Please let me know if you will be going on the walk. Out door games for those staying on site, we need to know numbers and age group please. We have the use of the village play area and green open space. We can have the picnic when the walkers return BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS Please let Mike Hobson have your replies asap
