Rowan from the 26th Ipswich Scouts appeared on the Mark Murphy Breakfast Show today on BBC Radio Suffolk with a unique idea to raise money for his Jamboree fund by Washing Up at events and at the same time helping to reduce our use of single use plastics.

We are delighted to announce actor and director Warwick Davis as our newest Scout Ambassador! Not only known to millions for his roles in numerous Hollywood films, including the hugely successful Star Wars and Harry Potter series, Warwick is also a well-known television personality, speaker and writer.
Scouts will be working with the Suffolk Fire & Rescue, Paramedics from the Ambulance service, the Coast Guard and the Police to develop your first response emergency aid skills. Play out what-if scenarios, test your first aid skills and learn how to save lives!!! This camp will raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, camp fees will go towards EAAA and in return we get access to professionals who will teach our scouts valuable lifesaving skills. Your Scouts will be able to pick up Emergency Aid Badges as well as community work for either the World Challenge Award badge or Fundraising badge, if you decide to support the EAAA in your own fundraising event afterwards.
Don't forget that this years District AGM is this coming Thursday, 28th June. 7.45 for 8.00 pm start at Hallowtree.
